With Halloween coming to a close this weekend, the Holidays are around the corner in New York City. Bryant Park’s Bank of America Winter Village is not wasting any time to bring that holiday spirit: its ice skating rink and holiday shops open this Saturday, 10/29.
The holiday shops are an open air market that feature over 125 merchants with quaint glass boutiques that offer exquisite gifts from distinctive apparel to jewelry, decorative goods and local foods. This year, there will be new vendors! There are shops that sell handmade ceramics, puzzles, stationary, chocolates, soaps, books, artwork, pet accessories, fusion tacos, gourmet meatballs, french fries, baked goods, and much more!
If you’re in the mood for a sit down dinner, Bryant Park offers Bryant Park Grill, a Parisian-style garden setting with the backdrop of the beautiful park, skating rink, and holiday shops.
Admission to the ice skating rink is free, unlike Rockefeller Center and other competitors. However, ice skate rentals are $20 and the bag check is $10. I suggest to bring a small cross-body bag to avoid the fee.
Bryant Park’s ice skating rink is so popular that there are huge lines every day: allow yourself an extra half hour of time because of the long wait.
You can get to Bryant Park by taking the B, D, F, M, and 7 trains. The stop is “42nd Street- Bryant Park/Fifth Avenue,” with the beautiful park right outside the station.
